A group of second-year students from the Faculty of Medicine at the Arab American University - Ramallah Campus participated in the seventh edition of the Undergraduate Research Conference, held by Al-Quds University, with the participation of researchers and students from various Palestinian universities.

The students presented two research papers in the conference. The first, titled "Evaluating Palestinian Pediatricians' Knowledge of HHH Syndrome and Its Impact on Patient Care". This paper examines Palestinian pediatricians' awareness and knowledge of HHH Syndrome and its impact on healthcare provided to children. It highlights the need to enhance medical knowledge of rare diseases to improve the quality of treatment.

The second paper, titled "Postpartum Depression in Palestine". This paper focuses on the prevalence of postpartum depression among Palestinian women and the psychological and social factors influencing it, highlighting the importance of health and psychological support for mothers after childbirth.

The participating students were Christina Nasser, Mays Badran, Rama Kifaya, Batoul Masri, Doha Bani Odeh, Tulin Qtifan, Solaf Daraghmeh, Mohammad Khalifa, Ahmad Itawi, and Mohammad Sawalma. They were accompanied by Dr. Mohammad Imran, a lecturer in the Faculty of Medicine.

This participation comes within the framework of the Arab American University's commitment to promoting scientific research among students from their early stages of study, preparing them to effectively contribute to the development of the health sector by linking academic education to real-life health issues.
